Holly Wick (co-owner)
holly@athleticsoles.com

Holly (Turner) Wick has taught Physical Education in Sonoma and Marin Counties for over ten years. Her philosophy is that every body is an athlete. As a coach she has always stressed PR's (personal records). She reminds students that their best is always good enough. As a triathlete, Holly did her first triathlon in the late 1970’s and has competed in “too many triathlons to count”.  Her best distance is the Ironman where she has competed in six Ironman Races, has won her age group in Vineman and placed 3rd in Ironman Canada and last year 3rd in Ironman France.  She has qualified for Hawaii Ironman World Championship but hasn’t gone there yet due to work commitments.  This year Holly will be competing in the 70.3 (Half Ironman) World Championships in Clearwater Florida.  As a runner she has run the Boston Marathon, Vancouver International Marathon,  Napa Marathon  and CIM , but she prefers  half marathons.   Holly lives in Petaluma with her family and trains with her husband, JT. Her favorite run is Putman Park or doing cruise intervals in Shollenberg Park. With no athletic specialty store in town to keep her in gear, it has been a long time dream to open a store in Petaluma and share her joy of health and fitness with the community.

Dame' Rahal (co-owner)
dame@athleticsoles.com

Dame' has worked as a CPA for fortune 500 companies throughout the USA. Her work has taken her to foreign locations around the world. To keep at the top of her game in the boardroom, Dame brings her running shoes along with her for stress management! With thirteen marathons around the globe, including the Great Wall of China, Dame has managed to meet the challenges of corporate America one step at a time. Although she has run in exotic locations Dame's favorite place is still the Bear Valley Trail in Point Reyes. Her favorite training partner is Shasta Bear Rahal, a lab/shepard cross. As the CEO of Athletic Soles Dame has fulfilled her dream of owning her own business and sharing her joy of running!
Monica Kunzman
monica@athleticsoles.com

Monica taught physical education at Petaluma City Schools for 6 years before coming to work at Athletic Soles. Monica met Holly when their respective elementary school teams competed at Westside Relays. She is a member of the USTA Tennis Association and is an avid tennis player. Her current USTA team reached divisional playoffs this season with a winning record. She has previously won the singles championship at the Sonoma State Summer Classic. Monica lives here in Petaluma with her husband, Russ and their two sons. She actually met her husband through a local rowing club and they competed together in mixed doubles sculling.
Alex Pili
alex@athleticsoles.com

Alex Pili (a.k.a. the Filipino Flash) is the fastest runner here at Athletic Soles... at least for 400 meters. As a high school athlete, he participated in basketball and track and was awarded Most Improved in both sports. Currently, he is a track star at SRJC with hurdles and sprints as his specialty and is majoring in Kinesiology. He is very knowledgeable in running shoes and apparel, despite his young age, and has been working at the store since opening day!
Chris Mason
chris@athleticsoles.com

If Athletic Soles was a university, Chris Mason would have just graduated as an honor role student. He is the newest employee here at Athletic Soles and has soaked up everything there is to know about shoe fittings. As the founder of the Petaluma Footrace, Chris is a very important asset to the store as he has put on the store's very first race, the Carousel Fund Run. The world we live in today revolves around the technology of computers. Chris is the only one in the store who knows anything about them. A graduate of Casa Grande High School, Chris competed on the Track and Cross Country teams. He currently attends Sonoma State University and enjoy's running distances from 5K to Half Marathon. Chris is also active in the Empire Runners Club as webmaster and co-editor of the newsletter.
Melanie Belluomini
mel@athleticsoles.com

Melanie Belluomini began her love of running at Kenilworth Junior High School when she was asked to run the mile for time with the class and ended up ahead of all the girls... and most of the boys too! After some "gentle prodding" from then Casa Grande High coach Rich Persons, she joined the Cross-Country and Track team in high school and hasn't stopped since. UC Davis was her next stop where she competed in both sports at the NCAA II level and also took up competitive swimming with the Davis Aquatic Masters, competing in some local triathlons. After earning her degree in Exercise Physiology she moved back to Sonoma County because she missed the hills of Annadel, her favorite place to run (OK, and maybe her family too!). Mel still competes in local races as well as on the USA Track and Field circuit with her club, the Empire Runners, and currently swims with the Santa Rosa Masters. In her spare time she spends time with her husband Todd and dog Tucker, and plays the guitar.
